Ohoiii Blog,
many moons ago abang ada skodeng IG kawan kawan abang. ha ha ha. abang skodeng tapi abang tak terasa kalau ada bahan hencapan tau! contohnya, kalau ada orang update satu hencapan dan tak sengaja terkait dengan keadaan abang, maka tak ada la abang nak terasa pulak esp kalau abang tak fren fren dengan kau.
ouh contohnya macam nih, katakanlah abang tak friend-friend dengan kau, cuma friend ala -ala jer dengan laki kau (laki ker?) kemudian abang update status kat FB sekali laki kau pun termasuk delam golongan yang sama. hello, perlu tak kau yang tak ada kena mengena nak terasa bagi pihak? why were you picking up a fight with me? sebab kau rasa kau adalah bini kepada rescuer agong? ha ha ha ha. noooo! sebab kau bodoh. study Office Management pun nak heboh. itu course yang orang tak nak buat lah. motip upload gambar transcript! ha ha ha ha. babi kau nih membuat lawak. we had fun la laughing at your Office Management thingy. sedihhhh! ada hati pulak nak panggil orang stupid. patut lah kalau orang hencap kau orang akan cakap kau jual roti john jer. now i understand.
ehhh apa kan nih?! ha ha ha. nak update pasal makanan nih. perlu ker cerita sekumpulan tahik2 berkumbahan tersebut? no tak perlu.
okay like i said, i did my IG hopping and I happened to see one good foodporn picture. so abang pun tanya dengan tuan punya IG and sepantas kilat jugak abang membuat deal untuk makan kat cafe tersebut. okay this is just a brief review sebab abang nih bukan lah pakar masakan atau makanan. so abang review ikut tekak abang dan ikut sedap abang la kan. eh ini blog aku lah aku boleh tulis apa yang aku suka.. ehhh ini macam kenal jer ayatnya! ha ha ha. itu lah kata kata orang sombong yang dalamnya ada banyak penyakit.
Location: (9/10)
Lakefields, Sungai Besi. Ample of parking space but you might need to make a few turns to find one on weekends or public holiday. anyway, being Malaysian or Malaysian style of parking, you may park at the roadside and if you are lucky enough, no ticket issued!
less than 10 minutes from Cheras/Bandar Tun Razak. about 20 minutes from KL city centre. this is a newly developed township. lots of cafes and restaurant for you to explore and dine in.
Ambiance of Lanong Cafe: (8/10)
This newly opened/launched cafe is far from perfection in terms of its interior design but for a food lover like me, i dont give a dime about the design anyway. The cafe is overwhelmed with incandescent lighting, vibrant and you might need to adjust your camera setting to get a good white-balanced.
They havent yet installed any P.A and sound system yet which is good and bad. good, because you can eat with calamity and have a small talk while eating without much disturbance. bad is, when you burp, the whole cafe will have their eyes on you including the walls! ha ha ha. kidding you. I hope they will install the sound system soon and get some musics to accompany the customers.
The owners, had some tar painting hooked on the wall. I kind of like the paintings. well, i am a person who have no talent at all in arts so I extremely appreciate painting and any kind of arts.
The food and drink:
Okay, what i love about this cafe is, it serves Malay oriented dishes. I think the crab and ikan masak asam are the main attraction here. the owner simplifies the ordering by making a combo set according to number of persons. since I somehow knew the one of the owners, he made a recommendation. Hey, he is a nice, friendly guy who took his time to explain to us how we can enjoy variety of food and at the same time saving the money! ha ha ha. sounded like we were cheapskates ehk? nah, he is indeed a very responsible owner-come-waiter.
We had a meal for two with an addition of a Crab Curry. okay the cook uses a minimal amount of salt in his cooking. healthy indeed but i found it not up to my tastes. you may ask the cook to add more salt or you can ask the salt and add it yourself. since my Boss was okay with a little salt in her dishes, I was okay too.
luckily the asam pedas was season to almost perfection! he he he. i was expecting Melaka style of asam pedas but they served the northern region style; in which they cook asam pedas with cucumber.
the fried pomfret tasted good and the outer part was fried to crunchy texture without losing the softness of the inner flesh. the crab curry is quite heavy with curry powder and coconut milk!
Sayur goreng, fried pak choy cooked nicely and beautifully green on the plate. mind you, some inexperience cook may have over-cooked the pak choy and makes it plain when served.
portion of rice was, ehemmm, awesomely, handsomely big. ha ha ha. well, i think Izu (my friend) knows it by looking at my tummy!
Kari Ketam: 7/10 (if another pinch or two of salt added I would have given 9/10)
Asam pedas: 8/10
Sayur goreng: 9/10
Telur goreng: 9/10
Bawal goreng: 9/10.
Since this was considered as a food testing session, I think the food was cooked carefully and thoughtfully. over time the taste may have improved and improvised. Izu took his time to sit down with us asking for our feedback. He appreciated all the comments and suggestions we gave then again, he has the final say since he is one of the owners. :-)
I definitely will re-visit Lanong Cafe. they also have good selections of traditional kueh. Insha Allah we will make our time to taste the kuih muih.
Who said I didnt support my friends. although i disagree with tamak pahala, did you see me at the IWTTAD? did you see me at Harley's? i may disagree with you in certain terms but when comes to welfare and charity i never discriminate let alone killing another NGO helping out the needy ones. To the person who slandered me by saying tak boleh tengok orang lain lebih, I will never forgive you! kBye.
